The Marathon
Touted as Southern California's premier marathon, welcome to the Orange County Marathon, in beautiful Newport Beach, CA. Beginning at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa, the 26.2 run extends throughout the seaside Newport Beach communities, including Costa Mesa and Santa Ana, finishing at the Orange County Fair and Event Center. Sites you can expect to take in as you meander and traverse through the course are Corona del Mar & Big Corona del Mar State Beach, Ocean Boulevard, Newport Harbor, South Coast Plaza as well as the initial breathtaking panoramic view of the entire coastline.

Gatorade stations, water stations, and medical aid stations are constructed at various points along the route for your convenience and refreshment. In addition, runners can take advantage of the "Kool 'N Fit" spray stations featuring all natural muscle conditioning spray, by Kool 'N Fit.

For those cheering you on, there are special spots for family and friends also along the marathon route. Make plans ahead of time to meet up with your biggest fans at the finish line or surrounding areas.

Travel to Newport Beach
Newport Beach is a California coastal community known for its prime location between Los Angeles and San Diego Counties, and its own wildly popular county, Orange County, aka "OC." Thousands upon thousands of tourists and visitors descend on Newport Beach in the summer months to enjoy its many shops, restaurants, picturesque destination atmosphere and scenic bay area. The nearest airport is Orange County's John Wayne Airport, or opt to fly into LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) and enjoy the drive to the beach, which takes under an hour.
