The city of Chicago is known for its fantastic foods and there are a number of dining establishments to provide you with just about anything you could want and more. Here are just five of the great dining locations for you to enjoy.

When you want a real Chicago hot dog, come check out Portillo's Hot Dogs in Chicago. Known for their amazing hot dogs as well as sandwiches, soups, salads and more. Potillo's has been operating since 1963 and has become a locals favorite among places to eat. Definitely worth checking out while you are here.

Smoque BBQ:
If you love great BBQ then come try the Smoque BBQ restaurant. Doing barbeque the right way, this restaurant slow cooks their meat until it is just right. With menu items like Pulled Pork, Texas Sausage, Brisket and more, you are sure to find something that you will love. Smoque BBQ also features a kids menu as well as delicious desserts for you to enjoy.

Chicago Pizza and Oven:
If you are hungry for some great pizza, try the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company. Open for lunch and dinner, Chicago Pizza and Oven is a very popular place to eat, with a wide variety of menu items ranging from pizza potpie and oven grinders to antipasto, Mediterranean bread, specialty salads and more. Opened in 1972 as the Chicago Pizza and Oven, the three story brick building was originally built around the beginning of the 20th century and has seen its share of history, including being directly across the street from the famous site of the St. Valentines Day Massacre.

The Purple Pig:
When you are ready to eat in one of the ten best restaurants in America today, check out the Purple Pig. Set on the famous Chicago Miracle Mile, the Purple Pig offers classic Mediterranean cuisine along with cured meats, Paninis, Smears, a variety of cheeses and entrees such as Mussels with Pancetta, Meatball Sliders, Buttermilk Brined Quail, Chicken Thigh Kebabs and many more great selections. The Purple Pig is open for lunch and dinner, staying open until late at night and also includes a large wine list for you to choose from. When you are ready for dessert, try the Lemon Panna Cotta.
